Mrs. Shirley Fay Seltzer

Mrs. Shirley Fay Seltzer, 96, of Lehighton, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025, in the Summit Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lehighton. She was the widow of Albert F. Seltzer, who passed away in 1994.

Born in Parryville, she was a daughter of the late Aaron and Arlene (Trainer) Beltz.

She was a 1946 graduate of Lehighton Area High School.

After graduating, she worked at the former Scotty's Fashions in Lehighton and as a waitress at various local restaurants.

Shirley was a lifelong member of Bethany Evangelical Church, Lehighton, where she was very active in church activities.

She enjoyed scrapbooking, playing the piano and cooking.

Surviving are a daughter Robin, wife of Jeff Lancaster of Penn Forest; a grandson, Jeremy Smith, and his wife, Heather; a granddaughter, Courtney Smith, and her partner, Michael Williams; seven great-grandchildren; and her former son-in-law, Robert Smith.

She was also predeceased by her furbabies, Punkie and Scooby.

Service: Funeral service 11 a.m. on Monday, June 2, Mayes-Melber Funeral Home, 200 Franklin St., Weissport, with Pastor Dale Oplinger officiating. Interment, private. Call 10-11 a.m. Monday. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name may be made to Bethany Evangelical Church, 222 North St., Lehighton, PA 18235, or the Carbon Co. Animal Shelter, 63 Broad St., Nesquehoning, PA 18240.
