Verna Paules Obituary

Mrs. Verna V. Paules Mrs. Verna V. Paules, 84, of Bowmanstown, died Tuesday, Aug. 18, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the widow of Lewis L. Paules.She was the head cook for the Bowmanstown Diner for 43 years prior to retiring. Born in Palmerton, she was a daughter of the late Albert E. and Lillie (Braerman) Long.She was a member of the Dinkey Memorial Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ashfield.Surviving are two daughters, Ann Delong and Ellen Paules, and her companion, Harlan Schaffer, both of Bowmanstown; four sons, Lewis, and his wife, Kathleen, of Ashfield, Dale, and his companion, Rose Dennis, of Bath, and Roger, and his wife, Bonnie, and Kerry, and his wife, Gail, both of Palmerton; a sister, Margaret Snyder of Walnutport; 16 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. Service: Funeral service 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 21, T.K. Thomas Funeral Home, 145 Delaware Ave., Palmerton. Call 9-11 a.m. Friday.

My thoughts and prayers with all of the Paules family. It was a great pleasure knowing Verna and having been able to do her hair a couple times. I will remember the fun times growing up and spending them at the house She was a wonderful person and an awesome cook. She will be deeply missed by all. My deepest condolences to you all.
