Walter Counterman Obituary
Counterman
Walter E. Counterman, 61, of Lansford, passed away on Thursday, June 8, in Blue Mountain Health Systems Gnaden Huetten Campus, Lehighton. He was the husband of Judith (Ahner) Counterman. They celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in April.
Born in East Stroudsburg, he was the son of the late Grover Cleveland and Sarah (Green) Counterman.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three brothers, Rueben Counterman of Lansford, Stewart Counterman Sr. of Lehighton and Albert Counterman of Lehighton; two sisters, Diane Lowry of Palmerton and Denise Smale of Bowmanstown; a stepson, Shannon Reeser; and five grandchildren.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James Counterman and Richard Counterman.
Service: 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 14, Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville, with the Rev. David Felker officiating. Interment, Sky View Memorial Park, Tamaqua. Call 9 to 10 a.m., Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kresge Funeral Home, P.O. Box 25, Brodheadsville, PA 18322. Online condolences at www.kresgefuneral
