While I never had the honor of meeting Dr. Soliman, I came to know him through May. She told me so much about him and shared the love she had for him and him for her. Sending all peace during this difficult time.

Abdel-Wahab was someone who was always there as a friend and ready to help u in any way possible, never exposing the health challenges he faced that would have put anyone to test. Truly a humanitarian. He will surely be missed everytime we need a friend who was always there to lend a shoulder.

We lost a remarkable soul, and his absence is still deeply felt. His kindness, wisdom, and generosity of spirit left an everlasting mark on everyone who knew him. Though the months have passed, his memory remains vivid, and the lessons he shared continue to guide and inspire us each day. His true legacy lives not only in his accomplishments, but in the love, light, and warmth he brought into the lives of so many. May his memory be eternal!

Dearest Abdel-Wahab, your sudden departure has left a huge hole in our hearts and community. You were a friend, big brother, father-figure, and spiritual guide to many including Greg and myself. Your example of leadership, walking the talk, and Islamic life is so hard to follow but will always be a bar to which we will hold ourselves and community leaders.
May Allah SWT forgive your shortcomings and place you in the highest levels of Jannah. Rest in peace with your pal Teddy, until we meet again inshallah.
Ya Allah ya raheem, shed your light and guide us on your righteous path, clear our hearts and minds of earthly distractions, help us be our best selves and servants to you and humanity, prepare us to be reunited with Abdel-Wahab when you call us back.
Al-Fatiha. In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds. The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Master of the Day of Judgment. You alone we worship, and You alone we ask for help. Guide us on the Straight Path, the path of those who have received Your grace; not the path of those who have brought down wrath upon themselves, nor of those who have gone astray. Ameen.

May Allah have mercy on him and grant him a place in His spacious gardens... I will never forget when he came to the Faculty of Arts building, Mansoura University, in the early eighties to introduce us to his fiancée, our dear colleague, Sister Manal Al-Sheikh. At the time, I had an exhibition about the art of photography, which included my artistic paintings. He expressed his great admiration for the exhibition and promised me that he would send me a group of books on this art that he brought with him from America. Indeed, I was surprised when Manal gave me the books a few days later to copy them. I still keep them until now and read them with great passion. They were very useful for my artistic career. I offer my condolences to my sister and colleague, Manal, and her dear daughters on the loss of their dear one, and I wish them all patience and solace for his painful loss.

I was stunned and deeply saddened to learn of Abdel-Wahab's suddenly passing in Egypt. We had recently had a deep conversation at the MultiFaith Council Faith Leader Breakfast. During our table discussion, he quietly shared how painful the racism in this country was to him. It broke my heart. After my closing prayer, we spoke and confirmed our long friendship with his family. His long service to this community is exemplary. I send loving sympathy to Manal and their daughters, also dear, longtime friends.
