ALAN GEORGE BLUTH

September 28, 1933 - August 25, 2022

Alan George Bluth, age 88, of Jonesville, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2022, at Drews County Living in Hillsdale. He was born on September 28, 1933, in Pontiac, to George and Sally (Hiekalla) Bluth. He married Ann D. Bayer on February 20, 1954, and she preceded him in death on March 12, 2020.

Alan graduated from Burnham High School in 1951 and went on to work at Bayer Lumber in Toledo where he retired as the manager. Alan loved watching the Detroit Tigers or any other Michigan based sports team. He also enjoyed his winters down south in Florida and spending time with his grandchildren.

Alan is survived by four children, Karen (Eugene) Molenaur of Holland, Mark Bluth of Punta Gorda, Florida, Margaret (Bruce) Dooley of Lake Worth, Florida, Todd Bluth of Holland, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Justin (Molly) Molenaur of Columbus, OH, Mark Bluth, Jr. of Conroe, TX, Alex (Lindsey) Depew of Cygnet, OH, Taylor (Kaitlyn) Depew of Newark, OH, Christian Dooley of Lake Worth, FL, Troy (Erin) Bluth of Pomfret, Maryland and Derek Bluth of Washington, D.C.; and nine great-grandchildren, Penny, Miles, and William "Bo" Molenaur, Navayah Bluth, Emma, Connor and Levi Depew, Tucker and Ellie Bluth.

Alan was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 66 years, Ann; two children, Tracy Depew and Craig Bluth; a brother, Ron Bluth; and a great-granddaughter, Misti Bluth.

There will be no services at this time for Alan Bluth. Arrangements are entrusted to the Eagle Funeral Home in Jonesville. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Hospice of Hillsdale County.

Dad, you can eat all the cake, cookies and candy you ever wanted...because you are in heaven now !! I would wait for you when you came home from work and you let me grab some Reeses out of your coat pocket--best ever--that I would be selected !! I would take you my broken toy, OR anything and you would repair right before my eyes..I was a quick learner..all because of you !! And dance with mom..just as you two were meant to be !!
