Albert Fessler Obituary

Albert "Sonny" J. Fessler, age 75, of Columbus, died Friday, December 2, 2005, at Whetstone Care Center. He was born September 4, 1930, in Kentucky. He retired from BP in 1992. He was a lifetime member of Plain City VFW Post # 3268. He was also a member of the Elks and Loyal order of Moose Lodge #2236, Hilliard.
He was preceded in death by parents, Albert H. and Alene (Duddey) Fessler; wife, Connie J. (Thompson) Fessler in 1999 and sister, Mary Ann Stockelman. He is survived by his devoted children, Stephanie (Mark) Sarka of Ostrander, Mark Fessler of Toledo, Dennis Fessler of Columbus, Douglas Fessler of Toledo, Gregory Fessler of Logan, Kimberly Fessler of Columbus, Patricia (Keith) Caldwell of Galloway, Jeffery Fessler of Las Vegas; loving grandchildren, Miranda Fessler, Douglas Fessler Jr., Brian Fessler, Lauren Caldwell; 1 great-granddaughter, Gaige; sisters, Norma Fessler, Joan Hagedorn, Edith Mae Enwright, Linda Morris and brother, Dennis Fessler.
Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Ferguson Funeral Home, 202 E. Main Street, (St Rt 161 W) Plain City, with a Vigil Service at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2005, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, corner of West and Gay Streets, Plain City, with Father Patrick Toner officiating.

We were many of the folks who loved to play euchre with Al on any given night of the week. He was fun to be around and made us laugh. We admired and respected him. We will miss him. Peace be with all of you at this difficult time.
