Alvin Cavanaugh Obituary
Alvin O. Cavanaugh, 76, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 20, 2025, at Addison Heights Rehabilitation Center. He was born April 1, 1949, to Evelyn and Sam Cavanaugh. During his life he was proud about the time he spent as a Marine and serving on the Toledo Police Department.
Alvin is survived by wife of 17 years, Denise; daughter, Chatinna Cavanaugh; grandsons, Khai and Khaden; great-granddaughter, Avery; stepdaughter, Jennifer (Lamar).
Memorial mass will be held at the House of Day Funeral Home, on Wednesday, July 2, at 1:00 p.m.

So sorry to hear of Al's passing. I was Security Chief at Toledo Museum of Art and Al frequently worked for us off duty when we had concerts and events. He always presented a no nonsense image and was very professional.

Al was one of my team mates on the Directed Policing Unit. You always knew he had your back in an entry, and vice-versa. Even as a police officer, he was Marine Spit Polish tight. He was a good officer, man, and friend. I'll miss you Brother! RIH Al !!
