Amy Whately Obituary

WHATELY

Amy Jean

Amy Whately, 52, died unexpectedly December 26, 2013. Amy attended Christ the King School and graduated from Sylvania High School. We will always remember her as smart, beautiful, funny, and athletic. But her life was troubled. As many times as she tried, she never quite succeeded.

She leaves behind her

beloved brothers, Rick (Sharon), Randy (Mary Ann), her sister, Carrie (Luther) and many nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jean and Lionel Whately, who adored her. Amy, we love you and we pray you are now finally at peace.

Memorial services will be at Christ the King Church, with visitation at 9 a.m., followed by Mass at 10 a.m. on

January 14, 2014. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Sparrow's Nest. Online condolences at

I am grateful that I was given the chance to meet Amy... such a wonderful person... the time we spent together seems so short now but it definitely didnt then. She had a way to brighten the rainest days.. and from her I learned how to give much more freely.
R.I.P. Amy... forever gone but certainly not forgotten

She was a year or so younger than me but I remember her as happy and playful. Always mixing it up. Hope she is mixing it up in a better place today.

I remember Amy from Sylvania CC when we were kids. We were on the swim team and tennis courts together for a time, and she was better than me at both. I am very sad to read of her passing at such a young age, and wish her eternal peace.
