Andrew “Drew” Louis
Andrew “Drew” Louis Lancz, 34, of Toledo, passed away June 4, 2016 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. He was born June 12, 1981, to Frank and Connie (Pawlowicz) Lancz in Toledo. He
attended Whitmer High School and University of
Illinois, Chicago. Drew had a short life, but many adventures, working 2 years at Cedar Point, traveling the world as a flight attendant, and volunteering in Colima, Mexico teaching English, Math, and Science to local children. He learned to speak fluent Spanish while falling in love with Mexico and embracing Latin culture. Drew was preceded in death by his mother, Connie; Opa and Oma, Henry and Josephine; grandparents, Melvin and Virginia; and uncle, Ron Pawlowicz. Drew leaves behind his father, Frank; brother, Bill; sisters, Melissa, Laura, Nicole; nephew, PJ; family friends, Marcos and Clari, and countless friends whose lives he touched around the world. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the Dowling Funeral Home, 7509 New West Road, at King, (King Rd between Sylvania and Central Ave.) Toledo, 419-841-8111. Dear Lancz Family
I am deeply sorry for your loss. When I heard of the passing of Drew it broke my heart. I met Drew Feb 29, 2016 at Alliance One. I was his trainer and knew from the first day that he truly reaches for the stars and we share so many things in common. He was the best #1 employee I trained scoring 100 on each assessment. I always said to Drew you will reach big places and he truly was with Alliance One. Love how he made everyone laugh and love to hear him sing. I called him my Chris Farley because he was so funny. As I sit here and write this it pains me. I ask the lord to protect and help you all heal and know that Drew is an angel. I will truly miss Drew. RIP Drew! Remember our son "Eres Tu" by Mocedades.
