Angela Pescara Obituary
Angela Pescara, age 90, of Oregon, Ohio passed away August 17, 2021 at home, surrounded by her family. She was born on February 17, 1931 in Vittorito, Italy to Umberto and Filomena (Martocchia) Manimpietri. She married Felice Pescara in 1958, her husband of 50 years and immigrated to the United States in 1973 with their three children.
Angela's entire life revolved around her family, whom she loved spending time with. Her passions were cooking, baking and carrying on her Italian traditions with family and friends. Angela was also an avid reader.
Angela's way of taking care of others, which came naturally to her, was to ensure they were well fed. She was a very kindhearted person and brought a smile to everyone she met.
Angela is survived by her loving children, Umberto "Bert" Pescara, Arturo "Art" (Sara) Pescara and Annamaria "Anna" (Joseph) Hornyak; grandchildren, Tony Pescara, Grace (Jim) Riendel, Francesca Pescara, Shane Shabnow, Joseph "Joey" Hornyak, Andrew Hornyak, Gabriella Hornyak, Madeline Hornyak, Benjamin (Brittany) Pescara and Matthew (Ciera) Pescara; and 6 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Felice Pescara.
Friends and family will be received on Sunday, August 22, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 3500 Navarre Ave, Oregon, OH 43616 (419-691-6768). Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to A Helping Hand for Mom, 6588 Secor Rd, Lambertville, MI 48144. Condolences can be shared online at
