Entry: Dear Betty, Nina and Peter, I learn of Tony's passing this weekend. I am very sorry for your loss and for the loss of his many, many friends. Having just learned of his passing, my mind, too, re-visited our, too few, years together during late high school and after. I play the tapes in my mind and can only laugh, sometime out loud, at his special approach to life! May his death remind us to celebrate his fabulous life and also to remind us just how special and precious are our few days together in this life. I know he's giving Harold a hard time right now. Sleep well my friend. You will be missed. With sympathy, Rennie & René Kontak

Dear Betty,

Apologies for missing the gathering this evening. I will give you a call and perhaps can stop by later this week. I think back on many happy times with Tony, he loved to make people laugh. We both found our way into trouble (like climbing out the 2nd story window when you pulled up the driveway!) but we never had any malicious intent. Peter and Nina, my thoughts and prayers are with you as well. Take care.

Dear Betty Nina and Peter -- Dick, Lucky and I are thinking of you this week and look forward to being with you, Betty, later this month. We're so glad we had time with Tony in April when he really rose to the occasion of our too brief visit. All the wonderful memories of Tony in the good times and his bravery and strength during the challenges will live on in our memories. Much love

My earliest memories include great times shared with Tony. As young mystics our sleepovers and playtime afforded us youngsters freedom akin to standing at the end of a rainbow, jumping off a swing or catching lightning bugs. Our parents, while present, were outside our loop as we willingly set sail. Missing you and wishing Betty, Nina and Peter condolences and love from our entire family.

I was blessed to meet Tony and will always think of him when I wear white; especially if I forget and wear it before Memorial Day...that is a no no according to Tony. God Bless

Dearest Betty, It seems just right that Tony chose Independence Day to leave his pain behind. We believe he is gloriously free now and is no doubt making laughter ripple through a new audience now. Bless you and keep you strong throughout this sad time. With love, Rusty and Elaine Bailey
