Arnold "Arnie" Graybark

04/11/1929 - 03/31/2023

Arnie Graybark, 93, of Maumee, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 31, 2023, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio after a brief illness.

He was born on April 11, 1929, in Toledo, Ohio, to Leo and Jenny (Michalak) Graybark. He married Virginia (Ginny) Yeck in 1952 and raised four daughters, (Debora, Sandra, Pamela and Rebecca) and celebrated 38 years of marriage together. Ginny passed away in August of 1990. Then in 1995, Arnie married his second wife Joan Vascik and was married for 27years.

Arnie graduated from Central Catholic High School and proudly enlisted in the U.S. Navy Guard where he played basketball and had a tour of Cuba. He worked at Toledo Edison for 45 years. Starting out in the mailroom and working himself up to being the general supervisor of the line department, retiring in 1990.

Arnie was a fun loving caring person, who liked to joke around. He enjoyed being around and doing things with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed entertaining friends and family up at his cottage on Lake Wilson in Michigan. And he never turned down a card game.

He will be greatly missed by his wife. Joan; daughters, Sandy (David) Blaser-Lykowski and Pamela (Greg) Barnes; sonâ€"in-laws, Ken Warshefski and Ray Hayes; his step-children, Mike (Donna) Vascik, Tony (Teresa) Vascik, Paul (Ellen) Vascik and Shelly (Pete) Almaguer; his grandchildren, Bradley (Courtney) Warshefski, Tyson (Kristin) Warshefski, Jason (Kelsey) Warshefski, Mark (Mari) Blaser, David Barnes, Ashley Barnes, Marianna Hayes, Kolten Hayes, Tony Jr. Vascik, Mike Jr. Vascik, Matthew Vascik, Joey Vascik, Chris Minnick and Jamie Minnick.

Arnie was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Virginia; daughters, Debora Warshefski, Rebecca Hayes; and Ssn-in-law, Timothy Blaser.

The family will receive family and friends at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee, on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, from 3-8 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be said on Wednesday April 5, 2023, at 10:30 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maumee with a luncheon following the Mass. Joan - so sorry to hear about Arnie. Sorry we missed the funeral, we didn't know. I will remember Arnie as such a great person. My mom and dad loved him and the times they spent at the lake. They were wonderful friends. I will always remember how my son, Michael referred to you two as Bart and Arnie (from Sesame Street) when he was little! I hope to see you soon.
