Audrey BRIMMER Obituary

BRIMMER Audrey M. Audrey M. Brimmer, 92, of Toledo, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2010, at Elizabeth Scott Community. Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Brimmer and parents, Frank and Minnie Reiger. She was one of seven children and was also preceded in death by a brother and four sisters. Audrey graduated from Woodward High School, Class of 1935. Audrey was an avid bowler, and during her life bowled several times a week. Even in her last years she enjoyed watching bowling on television. Audrey was an excellent cook and baker and was famous for her chicken noodle soup and home made candies. She also spent many hours knitting and quilting and many people were recipients of her talents and labor of love. Audrey is survived by her daughter, Phyllis (David) Brimmer; brother, Frank (Ruth) Reiger; sister-in-law, Lee Reiger; grandchildren, Deborah (Dave) Ferguson, Lt. Col. (ret.) Douglas (Bambi) Brimmer and Donald (Susan) Brimmer; great-grand-children, Daniel and Dayna Ferguson and Heather Lynn and Jillian Brimmer, and stepchildren, Robert (Wendi) Brimmer and Carolyn (Dick) Barber. Graveside services will be held in the mausoleum Chapel at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park on Tuesday, February 9th at 1:30 p.m. Memorial contributions are requested to either: "Friends of Maumee Bay State Park"- Building Fund or to the charity of the donor's choice. To Phyllis and the Brimmer Family,

We'll especially remember our times with her at Deep Lake and her great meals. We're glad we got to see her again at the 50th Anniversary celebration. Well where to start I was one of thoes recipients of her talent of quilting. she made me a quilt for my graduation. She is my Aunt Audrey. to deborah, douglas,and donald i grew up with them. I am with you in your time of sorrow. she was a great person. and she will be greatly missed.. love to all of you there.
