Barbara BOWSHER Obituary

BOWSHER Barbara A. Barbara A. Bowsher, age 79 of Toledo passed away while surrounded by her family on December 29, 2011, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. She was born to Casimir and Clara Pinazkiewicz on May 19, 1932. She was a graduate of Central Catholic High School. She married Glenn Bowsher, her husband of 53 years on August 20, 1954 and together they raised 3 daughters. Barb spent her career working as a Credit Manager at McGranahan Distributing until the time of her retirement. She enjoyed ceramics, reading, shopping, and playing games with her friends at Mayberry Senior Village. She also loved spending time with her 8 grandchildren and attending their sporting events and dance recitals. Barb was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, and sister, Diane Couture. She is survived by her daughters, Gladys (Joe) Fischer, Linda (Tim) Hines, and Shelly (Marty) Byrne; grandchildren, Jennifer Boyd, Stephanie Fischer, Christopher, Sarah, and Lauren Hines and Marty, Alexia and Cassandra Byrne; brother, Jim (Maryann) Pinney; as well as many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd., on Monday from 2-8 p.m. where a Scripture Service will be recited at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday beginning at 9:30 a.m., in the mortuary, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church at 10 a.m. Interment Calvary Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Dr. Kasunic, Dr. Karamali, Dr. Ruiz, and Dr. Ewry and the Hickman Cancer Center at Flower Hospital for their compassionate care. I loved every moment I got to spend with Aunt Barb; wish there could have been more! She was a wonderful Aunt, Mother, and Grandmother. She will be missed. I'm sorry I can't make it to the funeral but you all are in my thoughts and prayers.
