Barbara Drabek Obituary

Barbara A. Drabek, age 68, of Toledo, passed away on February 1, 2006, in her home. She was born on January 17, 1938, to Louis and Margarite (Schriner) Haffner. Barbara was working as an office manager for the Oblates Provincial Office for the past 25 years. She enjoyed working puzzles, reading, flower gardening and most of all, cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren.
Barbara will be dearly missed by her loving husband, Charles, Sr., whom would have celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary in September; children, Charles, Jr. (Kerri), Joseph (Diane), Steven (Julie) Drabek; grandchildren, Brandi, Brittany, Ellen, Andrew, Alex and Brynn; sisters, Suzanne Rafko of Monroe, MI, Marilyn (Herman) DeBrosse and Judith Dennis.
Family and friends may visit at the W. K. Sujkowski & Son Funeral Home, 3838 Airport Hwy., on Friday from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2006, at 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at Little Flower Church at 10:00 a.m., celebrated by the Oblates. Entombment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
The family suggests donations to Ronald McDonald House.

Mr.&Ms Drabek were always the kindest parents to hang out with. Ms Drabeks wise advise was always appreciated and respected. Our Lord choose a wonderful angel and she will always be remembered.

I am so sorry for your loss. I can completely relate and understand your sorrow and grief. I loss my father on January 3, 2006. The pain grows less day by day, but you will have moments that spring up unexpectedly. Joe, look me up if you ever need to talk with someone at work that understands what you are going through. It does help to talk, Trust Me. This is for the whole family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I always enjoyed helping Barb at the Oblates. She was very thoughtful and kind. It was an honor that she attended our daughter's Bat Mitzvah last year.



Barb and Chuck's famous carmel corn was a favorite annual treat.



Barb will be very much missed by all.
