Beverly "Bev" Lynn Gerdes, 71, of McClure, OH, went home to the lord on Monday, June 30, 2025. She was born on February 6, 1954, in Delta, OH, to the late Kenneth and Esther (Wade) Gerdes.
She was a Member of Delta Methodist Church for many years with several areas of involvement. She spent a lot of her time helping the Ability Center of Greater Toledo as well as Defiance. Bev loved music. She was a talented singer, guitarist, and pianist. She enjoyed playing cards with friends and family. She had a passion for collecting gems and rocks and a talent for calligraphy. She enjoyed wildlife and loved to write. Best of all, she was the greatest friend and cared deeply for all those lucky enough to be in her life.
She is survived by her brother, Don (Judy) Gerdes; sister; several nieces and nephews; her best friends, Marilyn Verhelst, and Sherri Edgar; and Douglas Collins, who was like a son to Bev. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Gerdes.
Services will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025, at 1 p.m., at Rodenberger-Gray Funeral Home, McClure. A visitation will be held on the same day from 11 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will follow services at Hockman Cemetery, McClure. Memorial contributions can be made out to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Cincinnati.
