Billie Halka Obituary
Billie C.
Billie C. Halka, age 70, of Oregon Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania. She was born on November 5, 1942, to William and Virginia (Strouthers) Hymore. Billie graduated from Waite High School. She started her working life as a Hairdresser in Connecticut and later in her career was an office manager for 12 years until she retired. Billie was a very gifted seamstress sewing for Singer and several fabric stores. She loved cooking, crocheting and had a great connection with her family, particularly her grandchildren. The many lives she touched will forever miss her.
Billie is survived by her loving daughter, Angela DiStefano; grandchildren, Mark, Tony, Kailie, Andriel, Miah, and Alexis; great-grandchild, Azslin; siblings, Jim and Judy; aunt, Sylvia as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; children, Mark DiStefano, Jacqueline Abdo, Michael DiStefano, and great-grandchild, Michael Seroka.
Friends and family may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel 1155 S. Wynn Rd. in Oregon, OH on Sunday, February 10, 2013, from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday in the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the American Breast Cancer Foundation in memory of her daughter Jacqueline.

There are no words my darling, beautiful, amazing mama. I tried with all my soul to keep you well. I had to say goodbye. This Wasent what I planned dear mother - not what I planned at all. Wish somehow I could tell you how empty I feel right now. A part of me went with you, a part that time can't heal. I wish I had you back again to hold this empty hand. But the lord seen you suffering to much for you to bear. No more pain or sadness it was time for you to rest. The time away from your babies is over ,no more sadness left. Billie was my aunt, and though I had not been in touch for quite some time, I have very fond memories of her. As a child, aunt Billie did my nails and I loved hanging out with her and spending the night. She taught me to sew and helped me make an outfit for a 4-H project that won 2nd place at the county fair. We shared a love for all thing girly, and I loved her very much! I will forever keep the happy memories tucked in my heart.
