Bobby DANIEL Obituary

DANIEL Bobby Lane Bobby Lane Daniel left us on September 9, 2010, due to complications during heart replacement surgery. Bobby was born on September 16, 1954, in Detroit, MI, to William Paul and Marietta Cole Daniel. He grew up in Toledo where he attended Woodward High School, the University of Toledo and the University of Toledo Law School. After law school, he moved to Colorado Springs, CO, where he began a successful career as a criminal defense attorney. On August 28, 1982, he married the love of his life, Roberta (Bobbie) Joan Olen. They had three wonderful daughters, Katherine Emily, Lauren Cole and Claire Elizabeth. Bobby was very involved in their lives and they gave him great joy. He worked hard and played hard; he enjoyed pool, racquetball, golf and poker. After retiring, he and Bobbie bought their dream home in Friday Harbor, WA, where they relaxed, sea kayaked and gardened. Bobby and Bobbie spent his last year in Spokane, WA, waiting for a heart transplant. His sense of humor and compassion will be sorely missed by all he touched in life. He is survived by his wife; three daughters; his mother; his sister, Juanita Brittian; his three brothers, William Paul, Gary and Keith Daniel and their families. A celebration of life will be held at the home of Juanita and Dexter Brittian on Saturday, September 18th, at 2pm at 7915 Whiteford Center Rd., Ottawa Lake, MI 49267. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Friendly Center, 1324 N. Superior St., Toledo, OH 43604.

I had the honor of workin with Bobby's wife Bobbie in 1984 and meeting Bobby at that time. He was a fine gentleman and I respected him greatly. The legal community lost a great asset and he will be sadly missed.
