To the Quandt Family:
I came across this while looking for the obituary of a close friend's father who had passed away around the same time. I have had no contact with the Quandt family for at least 25 years but I remember Mr. Quandt very well. He was a kind man who always managed to treat me well even though i was a cocky senior in high school. As my 2 and 4 year old girls grow up, I hope i can be as kind and accommodating to their friends as he was to me.
with my deepest condolences,

I knew Byron from high school and we were in several music groups together We auditioned (with a quartet) and were accepted into the Iowa State Chorus. I was also a frequent dinner guest with the family, as I lived in the country and they invited me to have many meals before choir practice.
I have many fond memories of my times with the Quandt family.
Sincerely and with condolences.

To the Quandt Family:
Byron was a special man, whom I was glad to have met in just the recent past. His love of sport was evident as we had the chance to go to NCAA basketball regionals with he and Tim, and the Green family. We offer our heartfelt sympathy in this time of loss, and hope that his wonderful smile, great wit, and his love of family are cherished memories for the future.
