My condolences to Carl´s family. Carl was an admired classmate.
It was obvious his talent would take him far. And to that degree he gave so much of him to so many. God Bless him!

In addition to his many accomplishments as a writer, producer & director, Carl was a mentor and teacher to the students who worked with him at Eastern Michigan University's television center in Ford Hall. He never hesitated to include us on remotes or his film projects, believing that experience is often the best teacher. Many of us owe our career successes in the broadcast industry to Carl's insistence that quality matters. He and Marianne will be missed!

I am saddened to hear of the news of Carl's passing. Maryann accompanied my Ann Arbor Youth Chorale Concert Choir for many years, and also my Huron High School choir. Carl was always there recording the concerts for us. I was able to visit with him at Maryann's memorial service. I am assured however that they are now together again in Heaven with God in whom they both had a deep and abiding faith. My prayers go out to the family.
