Carol Jeffries Obituary

Carol Ann Jeffries

Carol Ann Jeffries, 80, of Genoa, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center with her family by her side. Carol was born in Oregon, Ohio to Louis and Armidiller (Buchanan) Schiavone on September 6, 1942. She was a graduate from Clay High School and also a graduate of Heidelberg College with a Bachelor of Business Degree. She had worked for Unity Plus IBW Local 1076 as the plan administrator. She was a faithful member of Calvary Lutheran Church.

Carol had a caring and loving heart; she saw the good in people and had the ability to raise their spirits with a smile and a kind word. She never met a stranger, and would take the time out of her day to learn about them. She would always find a way to assist and improve their situation. From the simplest thing such as a shoulder to lean on, to hours of time and knowledge to help solve a problem.

Carol adored her family and friends and was happiest when she could be with them. She and Ted enjoyed hosting gatherings at their home and cottage as well as lending a helping hand to loved ones while visiting them. She believed in the good in a person and worked hard to help them, her love had no boundaries.

Carol never forgot a person once she knew them, she loved and carried them with her from that day on. She was a shining example of goodness, kindness, and love. She will be missed and loved by all as they carry her with them.

Simply put; We miss you already.

Surviving is loving husband of 59 years, Birthel "Ted" Jeffries; son, Roger (Jennifer Pilzecker) Jeffries; daughter, Ann Jeffries; grandchildren, Brian Jeffries, Sara and Samantha Welch; great-grandson, Michael; sisters, Dorothy Allred and Carmela Racz. Carol was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, Millbury on Tuesday, May 23 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 24, at Calvary Lutheran Church, 1930 Bradner Road, Northwood, at 11:00 a.m. and where the family will greet friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Lake Township Cemetery. Carol was one of the most welcoming, friendly women I know. Everyone was family and everyone was welcome. I love our family times together. She loved her family fiercely. I am thinking of all family and friends but especially Ted as he navigates life without his beautiful partner. They had a beautiful relationship and great team in life. Love and peace.
