Carole Ann Koerper, age 71, of Toledo, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 8, 1953, in Portland, Oregon, to Fred and Marie (Nye) Feldman. After graduating from St. Wendolin High School in Fostoria, Carole attended and graduated from the Mercy School of Nursing. Becoming a Registered Nurse was a life goal. Carole began her career at Mercy Hospital, then went onto Hospice of NW Ohio, finally retiring from St. Vincent Mercy Hospital. Caring for people was her passion, she treated each patient as if they were her family. Through her career, Carole nurtured and kept many lifelong friendships with both peers, patients, and their families.

In addition to her parents, Carole was also preceded in death by her loving son, Benjamin Koerper; sister, Diana Sacksteder; and former husband and best friend, Joseph Koerper. She is survived by her daughters, Jessica, Amy, and Megan Koerper; son-in-law, Jim Daschbach; grandchildren, Kyle, Jimmy, Cameron, Abby, Blake, Bella, and Isaac; sisters, Linda Feldman, Lisa (Jeff) Fuller, and Lori Feldman; and niece and nephew, Tiffany and Derek. Also left to cherish Carole's memory are many longtime friends and nursing school peers.

The family will receive guests Sunday, January 12, 2025, from 4:00-8:00 p.m., at Newcomer Funeral Home, West Sylvania Chapel, 3655 King Rd., 419-392-9500, and Monday, January 13, 2025, from 10:00-11:00 a.m., at Little Flower Catholic Church, 5522 Dorr St., Toledo, followed by a Memorial Mass beginning at 11:00 a.m.
