I know it´s been some time that Mrs. Goforth has past, but still think about her and how supportive she was in my 3 years in her art classes at Bowsher. She motivated me in the kindness way. As a footnote, I married an art teacher! Thank you Mrs. Goforth.

You are all in my thoughts and prayers, I was so sorry not to be able to attend the visitation and service for Carolyn, but have been praying for her each day since I learned of her illness in June. I hope your sadness is lightened by knowing she is now with all of her beloved family who have gone before her. My love and condolences to all of you.

Mrs. Goforth was a teacher that I had in highschool I took as many classes I could that she taught. I was even a student aid my senior year and had three classes in a row that year. She was a great listener and friend. My heartaches and my prayers go out to her family.

To the Goforths--I'm so sorry to hear of Carolyn's passing. She is the reason I became an art teacher, and I'm lucky enough to say that I've taught at Bowsher (following in her footsteps a bit) for 24 years. I have so many fond memories of classes with her; I have great memories of her even after she'd retired & I was a teacher, . . .what an inspiring person and mentor she was! God bless you all.

Mrs. Goforth was the kind of teacher that a student remembers forever. She was a great teacher and a kind person. As a student you always had the feeling that she taught because she really loved young people. Her art classes were always filled with interesting projects and they were my favorite of all my high school classes. I am saddened by her passing and thankful that I had the great privilege of having had her as my teacher.

Mrs. Goforth was a wonderful and inspiring art teacher, a beautiful person, who had a sense of humor as well. I will remember her and her classes fondly.

To the Goforth Family,

Although Art with a brush or pencil wasn't a career choice, metal working is. Many of the things she taught me still applied. I looked forward to her classes daily. May she rest, and paint, in peace. BHS 1978

I learned so much from her art teaching as she prepared me for "Mr. Ryan". Art at Bowsher was something special. I am saddened today.

I've always had deep respect and admiration for Mrs. Goforth. She was my art teacher at Arlington Grade School and she taught me that art was personal - not just professional. Fond memories.......

To the Goforth Family:
Wile working with Carolyn at Bowsher, we shared not only a first name but also many interesting conversations. She has left many beautiful pieces of art as well as memories and we all find comfort in them. Be blessed as we pray for you.

I am saddened to read the news of Mrs. Goforth's death. I am sorry for your loss. My deepest sympathies to all of Mrs. Goforth's family. May memories you have comfort you at this time. She was a wonderful person and a fabulous teacher. I loved art before her classes and love it still. When your parents cut down some fruit trees from their backyard my Dad took some of that wood and made bowls from it on his lathe. So many memories of her classes.
