Charlotte Wohlfarth Obituary

Charlotte Susan Wohlfarth

Charlotte Susan Wohlfarth, beloved wife, mother of two, passed away March 31, 2025, at home surrounded by her adoring family. She was born March 5, 1955, in Toledo, Ohio, daughter of Marilyn and Harvey Ott. Char graduated from Whitmer High School in 1973. She began working at Laskey Road McDonalds in 1971 where she met her husband, Paul, of 50 years. She worked her way up to be a store manager working at various locations in the Toledo area. Char ran the McJobs program placing special needs employees throughout the Toledo area McDonalds restaurant system. She ended up at the Lambertville Michigan McDonalds where the community focus was always in her heart. She held fundraisers, holiday banquets, Christmas parades, and her top performing store became the preferred gathering spot for seniors. She was a devoted mom, volunteering at school functions and was involved in the local Cub Scouts 751. She went to all her children's football games in high school and college, volunteering as needed and continued with her grandchildren's sports. During her career she taught countless kids how to work and what was expected as an employee. Her employees were her friends.

After 46 years, with the last 20 at the Lambertville Michigan location, Char retired in 2017 to focus her retirement on raising her grandchildren. She was the matriarch of her extended family. She loved her yearly vacations in northern Michigan spending time with family. She took yearly vacations with her sisters and mother to Naples, Florida, to soak up the sun and walk the beaches in the hunt for that special sea shell. She was a saint, always thinking of others first; she will be missed greatly.

Surviving is her husband, Paul; children, Nicholas (Alicia) Wohlfarth, Christopher (Heather) Wohlfarth; grandchildren, with one due in May; and sister, Jeanette (Randy) Cowell; mother, Marilyn Ott. Char was preceded in death by her father, Harvey Ott; and sister, Adele Zalewski; grandparents, Bernice and Walter Zumbrunn, and Louis and Matilda Ott.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 9, 2025, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., at Reeb Funeral Home, where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at 11 a.m.

Paul, and all the Wohlfarth family,
You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I know this is a difficult time for all of you. She was a very special person. I am thankful to have known her. She was so proud of her boys and loved them dearly, and her grandchildren stole her heart and put sparklers in her eyes. May the memories that she leaves you with help you with these difficult days, and put smiles on your face. She will never be forgotten, never.
