Christine CLINE Obituary

CLINE
Christine E.
9/5/1961 - 6/27/2016
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our sister, Chris on June 27, 2016 after her 9 month battle with cancer. She tackled her journey with cancer the same way she did her life: on her own terms. Growing up, Chris was always the protector of her sisters and brother. Chris' hobby was researching both the Monto and Cline family genealogy. Chris was employed by Heartland Health Care Services for 18 years as the maintenance supervisor. She was preceded in death by her parents, mother, Carolyn Monto Brakey and father, Edwin R. Cline and grandson, Caden. Chris is survived by her life partner of 21 years, Lisa Gagnon; stepchildren, who she openly took into her life as her own, Jeremy Espinoza and Jordan Balderas; and three granddaughters, Celina, Ari, and Bell; siblings, Susan (Randy) Corbin, Denise Stevens, Julie (Thomas) Dooley, Barbara (Bob) Cline Kowalski, Brian (Anne) Cline, Edwin (Sandy) Cline, and Benton Brakey; many nieces and nephews, and several lifelong friends who have helped her through her journey. Per Chris' request, there will be no visitation and services will be private.
Loss of a Sister
Sisters can be annoying pests who hog the bathroom and borrow your clothes without asking but admittedly, they are always there for you when times get tough and usually they are your best friends. Sisters are always ready to love, comfort, and defend you. They are lifelong friends you can count on until the end. In fact, the only force powerful enough to cut short the friendship between a sister and her siblings is death. The loss of such a special relative can be particularly painful, but holding dear all of the precious memories you shared will help you to cope.

To the family and friends of Chris Cline. We are deeply sorry for the loss of Chris, but know she is now healed and having fun in heaven. We had the privilege to work with her at Heartland healthcare and have many memories of Chris there. Rick enjoyed the years he worked maintenance with her and the fun they had. God bless Chris and her family. Rick & Jennifer Vrooman

It was with great pleasure to have been able to share a moment with Chris and Lisa last year when I attended the Gay Pride Fest with her Bestfriend Robin Yanez.
I'm over joyed also that Chris and Robin were gifted with such an amazing friendship, one that most of us will never know of.
What a Blessing Chris had been.

This one is for you Chris with Robin in mind.
Fly
Fly, fly little wing
Fly beyond imagining
The softest cloud, the whitest dove
Upon the wind of heaven's love
Past the planets and the stars
Leave this lonely world of ours
Escape the sorrow and the pain
And fly again

Fly, fly precious one
Your endless journey has begun
Take your gentle happiness
Far to beautiful for this
Cross over to the other shore
There is peace forever more
But hold this memory bittersweet
Until we meet

Fly, fly do not fear
Don't waste a breath, don't shed a tear
Your heart is pure, your soul is free
Be on your way, don't wait for me
Above the universe you'll climb
On beyond the hands of time
The moon will, rise the sun will set
But I won't forget

Fly, fly little wing
Fly where only angels sing
Fly away, the time is right
Go now, find the light

My sincere condolences to Chris' friends and family. I worked with her at Heartland just for a short time before her diagnosis and she was always very kind to me. She always made sure I was signed up in the sports pools for the big games. She was a special person.
