Christine R.

Christine R. Hohenshell, 95, of Toledo, OH, passed away Monday, October 19, 2015, at her residence, while under hospice care. She was born December 21, 1919, in Lafayette, OH, to parents Rev. Ivan C. and Ruth (Taylor) Wynn.

Christine was a proud graduate of Burnham High School. She along with her husband owned and operated Safeway Pest Control for many years. Christine was also employed as a waitress at the Highland Meadows Golf Club and the Sylvania Country Club, where she made many friends over the years. She served as Past President of both the Women's Christian Association and the Y.W.C.A. Young Matrons. Christine enjoyed the time spent with their group of dance friends called the Revelers.

She is survived by her sons, George, Keith, Kevin, and Kurt Hohenshell; grandchildren, Evelyn (Leonard) Brezynski and Kelsey, Katlynn and Tyler Hohenshell; great-grandchildren, Andrea and Sara Brezynski and P. J. and Jillian Hohenshell, and many extended family members and good friends. Christine was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, George Hohenshell; son, David Hohenshell; sister, Rosella Leach, and brothers, David and Gilbert Wynn.

Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St., Sylvania, Ohio, on Friday, October 23, 2015, from 11 a.m. until the service begins at 1 p.m.

Those wishing to offer memorials are asked to consider the Hospice of Northwest Ohio.

Christine will be remembered as a great storyteller who always put others first and always gave of herself.
