Clifford JACKSON Obituary

JACKSON Clifford J. Clifford John Jackson, age 84, of Millbury, died Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte, FL. He was born in Millbury, Ohio on February 5, 1927 to Carl F. and Loretta A. (Auxter) Jackson. Cliff proudly served his country during WWII in the United States Navy and later worked for Conrail Railroad as a switchman before retiring in 1986. On September 4, 1948, in Millbury, Ohio, he married Margyann Wetzel. Cliff was born, raised and lived in Millbury his entire life. He prided himself as one of the oldest living residents of Millbury. Throughout his years, Cliff enjoyed fishing, camping and golfing. Most importantly he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Margy, beautiful daughters, Dianna (Jim) Hillabrand of Elmore and Vickie (Ron) Brock of Millbury; grandchildren, Tony Rable Jr., Stacy (Patrick) Murphy and Shannon (Steven) Maltos; great-grandchildren, Troy Campbell, Alyssa, Alexandria, Ashlyn, and AJ Rable, Emmalyn and Lisa Maltos; as well as his brother, Bernard Jackson. He was preceded in death by his precious granddaughter, Niki Merrill; sister, Frances Foley and infant brother, Robert. Family and friends will be received from 2-9 PM on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 701 N. Main Street, Walbridge (419-666-3121) where funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2011, at 10:30 A.M. with Pastor Phil Park-Thomas, officiating. Burial will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Cliff's name to St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 1459 South Street, Millbury, Ohio 43447.
