Cynthia Pratt Obituary

Cynthia "Cindy" Lucille Pratt

Cynthia "Cindy" Lucille Pratt of Maumee, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 3, 2024. Cindy was born on August 25, 1948. She was preceded in death by her parents George and Marilyn Bowie, and her nephew Matthew Bowie. Cindy is survived by her loving husband, Brian of 48 years; children, Jim, Mike (Maria), and Kevin (Stephanie). She was adored by her grandchildren, Samantha (Chris) Warne, Lucy, Irah, and Anthony Pratt, and Grayson and Elsie Pratt, and great-grandchildren, Ezra and Jonah Warne. Also left to cherish her memory are her sister Kathy (Ed) Sorg, Bob (Connie) Bowie, and Tim Bowie.

Cindy's greatest joys in life came from her friends and family. She was a dedicated grandmother who loved spending time baking, playing games, and shopping with her grandchildren. She loved taking them to the pool, Copper Moon, the Toledo Zoo, Imagination Station and many other Toledo establishments! Cindy was their number one fan and sat front row at many of their athletic, dance, and choir concerts. Cindy's favorite place to spend time with her family was at the annual trip to Myrtle Beach where she spent many hours building sandcastles, taking walks along the beach, and playing the family's favorite card game "Push."

She was an avid reader and competitive Pickleball, Scrabble, and card player and enjoyed her time with the "Bunco Babes."

Brian and Cindy met at Kelly's IGA in the early 70's where the bakery girl fell for the dairy and frozen food manager. She moved on to work at the Lion's Store, where she met many of her lifelong friends.

Cindy will be forever missed by all her friends and family and remembered for her loving smile, competitive spirit, and quick wit.

Visitation will be held at Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, on Wednesday, March13th, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., with a memorial service beginning at 6:00 p.m. Those who wish to share and enjoy stories, memories, or anecdotes may do so after the memorial service from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
