Daniel CONNELL Obituary

CONNELL Daniel A. "Dan" Daniel A. "Dan" Connell, age 56, passed away Friday, January 15, 2010, after a long illness. On January 5, 1954, he was born to Ike and Doris (Morrison) Connell in Toledo, Ohio. Dan worked at Jeep for over 30 years in the paint shop, later retiring. Along with spending time with his family, he enjoyed woodworking, music, and martial arts. Dan is survived by his two sons, Steven (Erin) Connell and Scott Connell, and their mother, Dinah; long-time companion, Patty Maluchnik and her daughters, Kerri (Mark) Hill and Lori Gabron; two sisters, Pamela (Dennis) Jankowski and Lori (Robert) Ferrel; many cherished grandchildren; one grandchild expected in June, and a host of nieces and nephews. Dan is also survived by Gib, his best friend and "brother." Preceding him in death are his parents and infant sister, Nancy Connell. The family will receive guests Tuesday from 4-6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., (419-473-0300). Memorial Services will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home. To Dan's Family an friends i am so sadden to hear this news. Thru workin with Dan here an there over the years we remembered growing up in the south end. Dan was always a happy an uplifting guy.

Patty & boys - so very sorry for your loss. I loved him like my very own brother. We shared so many good times growing up and he is the only one who enjoyed my cello playing. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. He will be missed by all who knew him.
