Daniel Keller Obituary

Daniel "Dann" Charles Keller

Daniel "Dann" Charles Keller, 84, was born in Toledo, OH, September 11, 1937, to parents Charles and Bernice (McGrath) Keller, and they preceded him in death. Dann passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at the Promedica Ebeid Hospice Residence, Sylvania. He was employed with Pathology Laboratories where he served as a cytotechnologist before retiring after more than 43 years of service. Dann was proud to have honorably served with the United States Army. He learned to fly when he was 16 years old, the Army and work constraints caused him to take a break from flying. He began again in 1974. Over the years Dann owned different planes, his favorites were 2 Warbird Trainers that he enjoyed flying at different airshows. Dann continued to fly until his health began to fail in 2021.

He is survived by his loving wife, whom he wed in 1964, Marilyn J. (Frey) Keller; nephew John (Lori) Keller; special longtime friend Ed Rusch; and his many dear friends at Suburban Airport, Ottawa Lake, MI.

Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St. Sylvania, OH, Monday, December 27th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest at Toledo Memorial Park, Tuesday the 28th . Friends and family will gather at Reeb Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. to go to the cemetery.

Marilyn would like to thank the staff of Ebeid Hospice for their loving care and support during this difficult time.

I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. I truly loved uncle Dan.

I'm deeply sadden to know of Dan's passing. So many of us students and workers at Path Labs enjoyed his teaching Cytology. So many of us graduates of the Cytotechnology Program were proud of all he taught us and he too was proud of all of us. Our careers took us away from our origins but what he (and all our teachers) taught us stayed with us through these many years. Rest in Peace "teacher" and we all remember in our prayers Dan's family.

Marilyn, Reading of DANN passing brought back many happy memories of time spent at PATH LABS.
Dann at Parkland lab and you at Central Ave lab. I was the kid that made the daily runs picking up at doctors offices. Dann had a great sense of humor and was always teaching through example.
