Daniel Macut Obituary
March 17, 1957 - August 21, 2022
Daniel M. Macut of Lambertville, MI passed away Sunday, August 21, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Dan was born on March 17, 1957 in Toledo, Ohio to Marko and Dorothy (Manders) Macut. He was a 1975 graduate of Bedford High School and later received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Eastern Michigan University.
Dan was a Communications Director and an active member of the UAW Local 14 at General Motors Toledo Transmission, where he was employed for 36 years, until his retirement in 2020.
Dan was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed traditional bowhunting, fishing, and sharing stories around the campfire. He loved photography, graphic design, airbrushing, sketching, bow making, tying fly fishing lures, and all methods of building and creating things with his own two hands. However, his greatest joy came from spending time with loved ones.
Dan believed in living life to the fullest and finding joy in the simple things. He was a master of "dad jokes" and spread laughter and love wherever he went. Although cancer took his life, it never took his spirit or his sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by those who love him.
Dan is survived by his loving wife, Bridgette Cole; son, Ryan Macut; daughter, Nicole (Mark Thorne-Thomsen) Macut; step-sons, JT Osborne and Chuck Cole; step-granddaughter, Molly Marie Cole; mother, Dorothy Macut; and siblings, Michael (Barbara) Macut, Lucy (William) Mainwaring, and Dianne (Jess Williams) Macut. He was preceded in death by his father, Marko Macut; and his sister, Dorothy "Dottie" Buchele.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Saturday, August 27, 2022 at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd., Temperance, MI. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, August 28, 2022 at 1 p.m.
