Daniel Nayfack Obituary

Daniel Scott Nayfack

7/25/1970 - 7/15/2024

Our beloved Dan "Danny" passed away unexpectedly in his home in Toledo, Ohio on July 15th, 2024. He was our husband, son, father, grandfather, grandson, brother, and friend. Missing him immensely are his wife, Dawn Nayfack; mother, Karen Connors; father, Phil Nayfack; daughter, Stephanie (Chris) McPhillips; son, Tyler Nayfack; grandson, Ryan McPhillips; grandmother, Marilyn Theil; brother, Casey (Marissa) Connors; and sister, Tina (John) Rhodes.

Dan enjoyed playing soccer and was a skilled competitive BMX racer in his youth. He met the love of his life in 1990, and after visiting Northwest Ohio in 1999 together and seeing the beautiful way he could raise and provide for his family, made this area his permanent home. He enjoyed spending time in the Metroparks with his mom, driving the country roads, and the friendly people of the area. Coaching his kids' soccer teams soon became his passion. Later, he grew to love fishing, and would spend afternoons on the Maumee River or local lakes on the boat with his dad. He was very proud of his childrens' achievements, and could often be found poolside attending his grandson's swim meets.

We will all miss Dan's genuinely kind and giving heart, his exuberant spirit, his ever-constant smile, and unending cheerfulness. He was a person of integrity that you could always count on.

A "Tribute to Dan" will be held on August 17th, 2024 at La Fiesta Restaurant located at 2500 W Sylvania Avenue, Toledo, from 12-7:00 p.m. Dan enjoyed Mexican cuisine, so please come by and share a taco and your favorite story of your time with Dan.

So sad to hear this news. Dan was always our "go to guy" for all things equipment installation. He was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed.

I first met Dan as my daughter´s soccer coach then crossed paths through my employer. Always happy to see him and his smile especially knowing he was going to fix our equipment! I loved listening to him talk about Dawn and his kids and how incredibly proud he was of them. He will be missed.

I work at one of the companies he would come in and work on our copiers! He was always the greatest person! He would always stop by my office and say hey whenever he was working anywhere in the plant, always had a smile on his face and enjoyed our conversations, as he always brighten my day. I am so deeply sorry for loss as he was truly one exceptional human being.

I was a childhood friend of Dans. We lived about a mile from each other during Bixby Elementary, Stanford Jr. High and then on to Wilson. We spend a ton of time together during our teen years. I remember going with him and his family to Palm Springs for spring training and traveling to San Diego for an adventure on Mission Bay. There was also the time we spent time in his dad´s cabins in big bear. While we haven´t kept in touch over the years I have no doubt we would have shared a huge smile and hearty laugh if our paths we fortunate enough to pass again in this life. My heart goes out to all of the Nayfack family, he will be missed.

Your smile will be missed. This is a huge loss for this world. May you shine in the next as bright as you did on this earthly one.

He was always a sweet kid. Back in the day, he was the only kid allowed. He always had a sweet smile. We're heart broken and send our love and prayers to all of the family. Love you Danny
