Darlene Stickles
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Darlene Stickles, a beloved mother, wife, and friend, who left us far too soon on June 7, 2025. Born on March 4, 1956, in Toledo, OH, Darlene grew up to be a caring and passionate nurse, spending 28 fulfilling years at UTMC as an Ortho Nurse. She was a proud graduate of Otsego High School as well as Owens Community College and always cherished the friendships she made along the way.
She was known for being fun-loving and deeply caring. Her home was always open-not just to family but also to any animal in need. Whether it was a stray dog or cat, Darlene made sure they found love under her roof. One of her greatest joys was making cookies with her grandchildren-moments filled with laughter that will be treasured forever.
Darlene was a dedicated family woman who loved nothing more than gathering her loved ones for family get-togethers. Whether it was sharing stories or enjoying a swim, she brought joy and warmth to every moment spent together. Her legacy lives on through her husband, Franklin Stickles; sons, Dustin Roseman (Adrienne), Edward Crawford II (Amanda), and James Stickles; as well as her brothers, Danny (Pat) and Terry (Tammy) Carson and Dennis Love; and sisters, Sherry Myers and Sheila Johns (Todd); as well as brothers-in-law, Kenny Stickles, Greg Stickles and Patt Stickles. Her grandchildren, Dustin Jr. "DJ" Roseman (Gabrielle) Colby Roseman (Katlyn), Noah Roseman-their mother Dorothy, Hanna Crawford (Chris), Cole Shambarger and Abby English will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at Hanneman Funeral Home, 24084 N. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request donations be made to support funeral expenses or to the Wood County Humane Society in Darlene's honor-a fitting tribute to a woman whose heart knew no bounds when it came to helping others.
