Darrell Anthony Bieszczad, 90, of Perrysburg, passed away peacefully, Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo. Darrell was born October 8, 1931 in Toledo, Ohio to Anthony and Marie (Janowiecki) Bieszczad. He proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps, serving in Japan during the Korean War. Darrell married Rita Nawrocki on July 3, 1954 and they shared 67 years together.
Darrell worked as a supervisor for Columbia Gas, retiring in 1995. In his earlier years Darrell was a Scout Master and coached little league baseball. He was an avid Ohio State football fan and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Rita; children, Scott Bieszczad, Carla (Gary) Eckel and Paul (Lisa Managhan) Bieszczad and grandchildren, Kirsten, Sarah, and Elly Bieszczad. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Greg Bieszczad.
Friends and family will be received Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 10-11:00 a.m. at St. Rose Catholic Church, 215 E. Front Street, Perrysburg, Ohio where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Fort Meigs Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Darrell's name to St. Rose Catholic Church. Condolences may be made online to the family at www.walkerfuneralhomes.com.
