David M.
David M. Brentlinger, age 30, departed this world entirely too early on July 2, 2014. He was born to Betty (Jacobsen) and Brian Brentlinger on March 4, 1984, in Sylvania, OH. David was raised in Toledo where he brought joy to many. Also known as "The Platinum Child", David graduated from Start High School in 2003 and graduated with an associate degree in Medical Assisting from Lincoln College of Technology. He loved nothing more than to make people laugh and spend every possible moment with his daughter.
David is remembered in the hearts of his daughter, Novia-Lynn; parents, Betty and James Anderson; siblings, Erin (Aaron) Brackett, Matthew (Mary) Ruebush, Samantha (Jimmy) Wodarski, James (Kristin) Anderson and Christina (Bruce) Robinson. Preceding David in death were his grandmother, Sue Jacobsen, and uncle, Don Jacobsen.
Visitation will begin Wednesday, July 9th at Urbanski Funeral Home, 5055 Secor Road, (north of Laskey) (419)475-5055 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until Funeral services begin at noon in the funeral home. Online condolences may be offered at

As hard as it is to say goodbye to David, he will never truly be gone from our lives. He lives on in his beautiful daughter Novia, the lives his donations helped save, and the love and memories of the family and friends he leaves behind. We will always remember him, and what is remembered lives. We love you, David. Until we meet again.

I am so saddened that we have to say goodbye to David today. I have never seen a man love his daughter more than David loved Novia. I know that he'll be protecting her from above.

David its sad that u had to . Leave this earth at a young age and too soon but I know u will be one of gods strong angel soldiers. My prayers are with ur daughter and those loved ones u left behind may u always keep smiling at them and help find the strength to go on without you . U will always be loved and never forgotton .

Im still at a loss for words. David and I met in 2001 and his family took me in like one of there own. Many laughs cries and fights this family is one of the closest tightest loving family around. I will never forget you! My heart goes out to Betty Buddy Sam Matt and his daughter. Life will never be the same without you David! til we meet again.....

I met David when he was 6 years old and he parked himself on my lap. He always held a special place in my heart and I was very proud of him for getting his education and for the dad he was. You will always be remembered.

I had the pleasure to get to know David over the past year. I found him to be a nice, sweet man who loved his daughter very much. I was deeply saddened to hear of his passing earlier today. Your family is in my prayers, especially his sweet, innocent daughter. God bless.

I am so at a loss of words for comfort to David's parents and siblings. Somehow I'm sorry seems redundant. I am praying that God carries you through your pain and gives you the strength you need to get through this terrible time. I've know the entire Jacobsen family for many years, and they are a strong close family...find peace and comfort together....

I don't even know where to begin or really what to say. I'm still in shock!!! I babysat u EVERY weekend for yrs!! U were the funniest little guy. I will miss that contagious smile u always had. U were a great dad and trust me Novia was very lucky to have u. She will be in great loving arms cousin I promise. Till we meet again!! I love u. From the first bump on his head, while putting him in his car seat, to the red nail polish all over the couch and the fantasy dreams,(lol) I held a place in his heart and he in mine. Such a handsome man and strong loving spirit carried him through some pretty difficult times and he was truly blessed with a family who adored him and loved him unconditionally. He was fortunate that those he loved the most, stepped up when others let him down. Davids spirit lives in the hearts of all he left behind. ~ Rest in Heaven ~ and peace be with his loved ones!!! ~til we meet again oooxxx
