David Mason Obituary
David Elsworth Mason, age 70, of Walbridge, OH. passed away February 16, 2023. He was born January 26, 1953 in Toledo to Albert and Dorothy (McCurdy) Mason. Dave served his country in the U.S. Naval Seabees. He was employed with Omni Source Corporation for many years. Dave enjoyed genealogy and wrote and published a couple of books.
In addition to his parents, Dave was also preceded in death by his grandson, Lukas Mason. He is survived by his children, Lisa Ann Mason, Gabriel Mason, Matthew (Amanda) Mason, Benjamin (Jodie) Mason, Joseph Tokar, Brian (Jessica) Tokar and Keith Mason; siblings, Bonnie Mason and Timothy Mason; and many grandchildren.
The family will receive guests Tuesday, February 21, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Whitehouse Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Toledo Area Humane Society in Dave's memory.

A childhood friend I just found about passing.
Knew him since Jones Jr. High and in the neighborhood. Wished I got to see him more.
This photo was from the Libbey High reunion in Aug. 2011. The last time I saw him.

I had the privilege of being Dave´s nurse on Sundays and Mondays. I enjoyed seeing him, hearing his stories, life experiences, things he was working on, talking about his beloved cats. My heart goes out to his family, friends, Lisa his daily nurse and Sunny Boy, Luna, and Lucy his cats. I pray they will find good loving homes as Dave would want.
