David
Gone too soon, but in a better place, David Edward Romp, of Maumee OH, passed away unexpectedly at home March 14, 2013, at the age of 52.
Dave was born April 28, 1960, in Toledo, OH to Edward and Dorothy Romp. He graduated from EL Bowsher High School, and The Agricultural Education Center. He worked for the City of Toledo, in the Transportation Department.
He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed sports, hunting, fishing, and spending time up north at the family's cabin. Most of all, he treasured family gatherings, and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a loving and caring man that will be sorely missed.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Jacqueline Romp (Thomas Syroka); grandchildren, Mason and Paitin Syroka; his mother, Dorothy Romp; siblings, Karin Romp, Julie (Steve) Samson, Robin (Craig) Johnson, and Kevin Romp, and 6 nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Edward Romp, who he is now reunited with.
A Memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Monclova Rd. Baptist Church, 7819 Monclova Rd. Monclova OH.

I was shocked and saddened hearing of Davids passing. I am even more sorry that I will not be back from Florida to be there during this difficult time. Please know that you have been in my prayers. So sorry to hear of Dave's death. I will always have fond memories of Dave hanging out with his best friends, J.Grimm, T. Hornyak, D.Barton and K.Walters back in 7th grade at Bowsher Jr. High School. So many happy memories (as he was my schoolgirl crush)! My thoughts are with you at this sad time Mrs. Romp. Rest in Peace Dave.

Please accept my sincere condolences on Dave's recent passing. I was extremely saddened and shocked by the news. I did take the opportunity to reflect upon the many great childhood memories Dave and I created. All of a sudden, it seemed like just yesterday.

Robin, I am truly sorry to hear about Dave. My whole Family's prayers are with you and your whole family. It seems like yesterday we were teenagers growing up and driving our older brothers crazy. Always remember the good times we had.

To the Romp Family - words cannot express my heart-felt sympathy to your entire family. Dave use to come over to my house back in the days as I am friends with Keith W., Candy and that is how I met Dave. I also knew Jacquelyn from a baby and attended her son's baby shower. I enjoyed my times over at your house cooking outside and just spending time with friends. As time went on, unfortunately, I lost contact with Dave and for that I am deeply saddened. God's strength and blessings to all. Dave was a kind man and will be missed.
