David Sieja Obituary
David "Dzia-Dzia" Sieja, age 72, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, September 26, 2017. He was born in Toledo, Ohio to Andrew Frank and Mary (Zielinski) Sieja. He graduated from Rogers High School in 1962 and worked his entire 38 year career as a machinist at Libbey Glass, retiring in 2003. David married Maeva Jo Broghan on November 30, 1963. He enjoyed NASCAR, sudoku and crossword puzzles, and everything involving his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. During their retirement, Dave and Maeva enjoyed car trips and visited all the existing presidential libraries except two, around the country. He spent many hours researching family genealogy both online and at the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library and had compiled an exhaustive list of his and Maeva's ancestors.
David is survived by his wife of 53 years, Maeva; children, Annette (Craig) Moeller, Amy (David) Reimann, and Andrew (Grace) Sieja; grandchildren, Christopher Moeller, Elizabeth (Shane) Williamson, Erin (Christopher) Damm, Hannah (Nestor) Villapando, Emily (Marwan Massah) Reimann, Catherine Moeller, Cole Walbolt, Gabriell Sieja, Isabelle Walbolt and Kaleb Sieja; great-grandsons, Noah and Jonah Williamson; and siblings, Andrea (Dean) Applin and Lucian "Cook" (Barbara) Sieja.
Family and friends may visit on Friday from 2-8 p.m. at the W.K. Sujkowski & Son Funeral Home, 3838 Airport Hwy. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in the mortuary. Interment will follow at Whitehouse Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library. Condolences may be made at
