Deb Petri, age 66, passed away on Wednesday, June 23, 2021. She was born on January 14, 1955, to Howard and Thea (Weigel) Knepp in Akron, Ohio. She was a loving mother and wife who loved her God, family, and friends. Deb was always tending to her flower garden keeping everything in place, and making sure the birds she loved to watch were kept well fed.
Deb is survived by her husband of 45 years, Duane; her loving son, Vladec; sister, Chris and her husband, Scott; sister-in-law, Rosemary; adopted sister-neighbor and gardening partner in crime, Phyllis; two dogs she loved very much Reily and Marley; and her Maumee "adopted dad", Bob Gardner and his extended family.
Deb was my childhood sweetheart and the love of my life. I was so blessed to have her in my life.
To all Deb's friends at St. Joseph that she had met and worked with over the years, know that she loved all of you.
Family and friends will be received at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 104 W. Broadway, Maumee on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, from 10 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to St. Joseph Church Maumee or St. Vincent de Paul. Just found out about Deb's passing through a previous neighbor and we are heartbroken for her friends and family. We moved from the neighborhood a few years ago and lost touch but we will always remember Deb tending to her yard and gardens. Her yard was pristine and it somehow brought comfort to see her and Phyllis together working on what they loved and knowing she is no longer here to do so brings on the tears. Our love is with all that loved her and those she loved

Debbie and I worked together for B&W, man did we have a good time. I will remember her being so dam funny, good memories and laughs. She was so happy when she became a mom. With 2 out of state moves. we lost contact. But I will never forget her, and I am hoping for her husband and son are doing ok.

Deb you will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you for being such a great neighbor ,the chats ,and the fun times we had. You will always be remembered as our maumee mom :). Until we meet again , rest easy my friend !!

Deb you were a fantastic neighbor and he will be missed. You always kept your yard 110% shape. It´s hard to believe that you´re not with us anymore. Kristi and I will miss you very much.
