Debra "Debbie" Schmoldt

Debra "Debbie" Schmoldt, 67, passed away on October 12, 2025, at the Ebeid Hospice Center in Sylvania, after courageously fighting a hard disease, surrounded by her loving spouse. She was born to James and Elizabeth (Davidson) Krupp on November 12, 1957, in Fostoria. Debbie was a graduate of Bedford High School as a member of the class of 1977. She would go on to meet her future husband, Michael Schmoldt. For 44 years Debbie and Michael created a loving family with their three children.

Debbie worked for Toledo Public Schools as a lunch lady for 26 years. Debbie loved to bowl, play Bingo and cards, and spend time camping. Another source of joy for Debbie was cheering on the Cleveland Browns, known as her "Brownies," and Michigan football teams. Above all, Debbie loved spending time with her family and friends, playing and enjoying their company and time. If you ever had the opportunity to meet Debbie, you would not forget her. Her presence will be greatly missed by all she interacted with during her lifetime. You knew you were special in her life if she told you she was going to kick your "butt!"

Debbie is survived by her loving husband, Michael Schmoldt; children, Amber Hartford, Chad (Nicole) Schmoldt, and Christina (Matt) Williams; grandchildren, Bryce, Josey, Riley, Lucas, and Arya; siblings, Beth, Danny, Bryon, and Jamie. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Sherri, Kelly, Tammy; and many other campground and work friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Betty and Jim Krupp; special aunt, Edna (Enny) Smith; in-laws, Ed and Elsie Schmoldt; brother-in-law, Jeff Schmoldt; and son-in-law, Joey Hartford.

Family and friends may visit at Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd., in Oregon, Ohio, on Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a funeral service beginning at 6:00 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made in Debbie's name to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
