Dennis KOSINSKI Obituary

KOSINSKI Dennis J. Dennis J. Kosinski of Toledo passed away on April 13, 2012. Born on September 5, 1947, he was the son of Jerome J. and Florence R. (Peska) Kosinski. Denny was married to the former Sandi Kosinski on September 12, 1970. Along with his wife he leaves his son, Chris, and wife, Barb; their children, Drew, Adam, and Ella and son, Matt and wife, Amanda. His sister, Marilyn Calfee of Puyallup, Washington; also survives him. His parents, and in-laws, John and Ella Kosinski; predeceased him. Denny was a lifetime member of River View Yacht Club and a past officer there as well as the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla 10-4. Denny or as he was affectionately known as "Dirtball", was an avid snowmobiler in the winter months and boater in the summer months. According to him the year only had those 2 seasons. He spent countless hours of giving his time to others who needed a helping hand. During his 25 year involvement with the USCGA, he saved many lives through safe boating education and search and rescue patrols and made an impact on everyone around him. We will miss his purple sweatpants and his quick wit that flew out of his mouth effortlessly. He was always available to talk to anyone, anytime, anywhere and was also a great storyteller. He will be missed by everyone he came in contact with. To all the "old guys," stay south of the coffee pot! A memorial services and celebration of Denny's life will take place on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at River View Yacht Club, 5981 Edgewater Dr. from 1 to 5 p.m. Condolences may also be left for the family at www.jasinfuneralhome.com David R. I was sorry to hear of Denny's passing. I worked with him at Valitons. He was always telling stories about snowmobiling up north and was such a jokester!

Denny held a special place in my heart. He always gave me crap and I loved him for it. I will remember him with love and great memories. Heaven got an amazing gift when "dirtball" got there.
