Donald Bubacz Obituary

Donald J. Bubacz, age 77, of Wilmington, DE, died Thursday, December 8, 2005, at home. Mr. Bubacz was an accountant for the DuPont Co., retiring in 1985 after 33-1/ 2 years of service. He was a sergeant in the United States Army serving in the Korean War. He moved to Wilmington in 1959, coming from Toledo, Ohio. He was a graduate of the University of Toledo where he earned his bachelor of arts degree in business administration. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of St. John the Beloved Church, American Legion, and the Mid County Senior Center. He was the first treasurer of St. John the Beloved Athletic Association. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Clara Bubacz and his brother, Melvin Bubacz.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Virginia T. Bubacz; his sons, Thomas J. Bubacz of New Castle, DE, Robert A. Bubacz of Bear, DE and David W. Bubacz and his wife, Laura of New Castle, DE; his daughters, Catherine A. Rash and her husband, Anthony of Newark, DE, Donna M. Malloy and her husband, Michael of Cary, NC, Nancy Marvel and her husband, Richard of Ellicott City, MD and Jean E. Bingham and her husband, Ralph of Pitman, NJ; 16 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Rd., Wilmington, on Monday morning, December 12, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private. Friends may call at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Rd., Pike Creek, on Sunday evening, December 11, 2005, from 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Attn: Communications Department, 6931 Arlington Rd., Bethesda, MD 20814.
