Donald R.

Donald R. Cox, age 61, died early Thursday morning, November 8, 2012, at Sunshine Children's Home, Maumee, Ohio. He was born on June 3, 1951, in Toledo to Charles E. and Sarah F. Cox. Don worked for many years in Lucas County Sheltered Workshop Programs at Telegraph Rd., Hill Ave. and most recently at Sunshine. Don's easy demeanor and smile made everyone love him.

Surviving are his brothers, Richard (Joyce) Cox of Perrysburg, OH and Michael (Marlene) Cox of Waterville, OH; sister-in-law, Joan Cox of Franklin, TN. Also, he is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Charles S. Cox.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, November 17, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford with Funeral services beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Timothy Philabaum officiating. Entombment will be private.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Sunshine Staff for the loving care they provided Don over many years.

I work at Sunshine where he resided until he passed away. Donald was a very happy and loving man. He made me and my coworkers day. We thank his family for letting us get to know Donald in his own unique way. We really love and miss Donald.
