Donald Crispen Obituary
Donald R. Jr.
Donald R. Crispen Jr., age 60, of Rossford, passed away on August 17, 2012, after a long illness. He was born on July 26, 2012, in Toledo. Don was a member of the
Rossford United Methodist Church in Rossford, was very involved in Rossford athletics and was an avid bowler. He loved spending time with kids and watching them excel in sports and in life.
Surviving is his loving wife of 24 years, Charline (Cox) Crispen; children, Angela (Steve) Spears, Donald
(Kristen) Crispen III, and
Tyler Crispen; siblings, Guy (Cynthia) Crispen, Bernice Hayes, David Crispen, and Becky (Randy) Lake; 4 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; mother-in-law, Mary Hill, and special friends, Connie and Bob Schultz, the Destatte, Renner, Baum, and Sparks families. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Daisy Crispen Sr.; foster parents, Clarence and Blanche Lippert, and his sister, Dawn Griffin.
Family and friends may visit at the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford, 830 Lime City Rd. on Tuesday, August 21, 2012, from 2 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at the Rossford United Methodist Church, 270 Dixie Hwy. at 11 a.m. Interment will be
private. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the family. The family would like to thank the Promedica Physicians and Hospice of Northwest Ohio for the special care given to Don. To leave online expressions of sympathy, please visit

I knew Donald from the Lucas County Childrens Home and later when we both were staying at Blanche & Curly Lippert's Home.We had some great times and I tried to stay in cantact thru the years....but Time sometimes passes too quickly and people slip away. Charline, you may not remember me....I was the truck driver from Florida, who stopped a few times. I'm sorry for your loss and hope you can find solace in the memories of your time together.

I knew Don from Interstate Lanes and the Rossford United Methodist Church family. He was one of the most gentle and caring people I ever knew. I am sorry to hear of his passing. My sincerest condolences to the family and anyone who knew him. He will be missed.
