Donald Soss Obituary
Donald Allen Soss, 65, of Ottawa Lake, MI, passed away Friday August 6, 2021, at his daughter's home after battling cancer for over a year. He was born June 11, 1956, in Toledo, OH, to Frank and Mary Jane (Grimes) Soss, Sr., and graduated from Whiteford High School in 1974.
Don raised two daughters while working at Jeep for over 30 plus years as a welder, mechanic and forklift driver, retiring in 2007. He loved deer hunting, cooking, and especially quality time with family. In retirement, Don enjoyed mowing lawns for family and friends. Donald is survived by his loving family, daughters, Rabecca (John) Castell and Colleen (Alvaro) Leon; grandchildren, Joel, Austin, Olivia, and Antonio; sisters, Carol (Tim) Wohlfarth and Linda Soss; brothers, Steve (Jackie) and Richard (Melissa) Soss. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Frank Soss, Jr. Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St., Sylvania, OH, Friday, August 13, 2021, from 4 to 8:00 p.m. with the Funeral Service from the funeral home Saturday, August 14, at 11:00 a.m. The family would like to thank the following for their care and compassion of their dad, Renee his nurse from Hospice of N.W.O. and the staff from Rogel Cancer Center at U of M Medical Center.
