Donald Wisher Obituary

Donald Wisher

6/2/1934 - 9/4/2025

Donald W. Wisher, 91, passed away on September 4, 2025, at Parkcliffe Memory Care Community. He was born on June 2, 1934, in Spencerville, Ohio, to George and Bernice (Smith) Wisher.

Don retired from British Petroleum (Sohio) in 1999, after 42 years. He was able to enjoy more than 20 years of retirement watching grandchildren's sporting events and playing in numerous golf leagues (where he was a 5-time champion) until his memory loss kept him by his partner, Martha Tullis', side. He was a kind, genuine man who brought nothing but love and friendship to those who knew him. His good looks and sense of style earned him the nickname, "Sharpie," but it is his beautiful, friendly smile that will be missed the most.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Gerald Keller; and infant son, Michael. He is survived by his partner of 39 years, Martha Tullis; children, Lora (Kraig) Keil, of Whitehouse, Ohio; and Steve Wisher, of Tacoma, Washington; grandchildren, Collin Keil and Kara Keil; Martha's children, Dave (Dawn) Tullis, Wendy Tullis, Tim (Nicole) Tullis and Valarie (Mike Sivak) Tullis, and their children; siblings, Georgia Keller and Gerald (Goldie) Wisher, and their children.

A service will be held in Spencerville, Ohio, at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, 728 E 4th St., Spencerville, OH 45887, on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., with visitation starting at 12:00 p.m.

Yesterday

Martha, I was sad to hear of Don's death. He was a wonderful person. Rarely is there a person who accepted people so openly and with such warmth as Don did. He was a truly unique individual. I am so glad to be able to call him a friend. Kim and I will always treasure the fact that he was a part of our life.
With deepest sympathies,
P.J. and Kim Wood
