Dorothy Krupp Obituary

Dorothy Krupp, age 76, of Toledo, OH, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2006, at St. Charles Mercy Hospital, Oregon, OH, supported by those who loved her after suffering from several years of ill health. She was born in Toledo on September 27, 1929, a very special and much loved daughter to Fern (Jones) and William Longthorne. Her only sibling and adored older brother was William E. Longthorne, a prominent local attorney, who predeceased her.
Dorothy was a graduate of DeVilbiss High School. She attended The University of Toledo where she was active in the Tri Delta Sorority.
In 1950, she married James Krupp. Together they had four beautiful children and made their home in the country in the Luckey/Pemberville area. She was widowed in 1965 and along with the help of several supportive family members did her best to raise her children.
She is survived by her children, Karen (Robert) Lucas, Marsha (Rick) Juday, Kirk (Sony) Krupp and Bruce (Grace) Krupp; eight grandchildren, Vesper Williams III, Matt and Kelly Juday, James Krupp, Crystal, Zena, Ernest and Billy Krupp, and her long time devoted companion, Maurice Widman.
Funeral services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Marsh Funeral Homes, Luckey, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to the Toledo Museum of Art Saturday Art Program or to a charity of the donor's choice. On-line condolences may be sent to the family at www.marshfuneralhomes.com
The family wishes to thank the staff at Otterbein Portage Valley Nursing Home for the wonderful care over the last several years and the nursing staff at St. Charles Mercy Hospital for their support over the last few difficult days.
May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at
your back.
May the sun shine warm
upon your face.
The rains fall soft upon
your fields
And, until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
