Edward Johns Obituary

Edward N. Johns III

Edward N. Johns, III of Toledo, Ohio passed away, Friday September 20, 2024, at the inpatient unit of Hospice of Northwest Ohio, surrounded by his loving family. Edward was born December 15, 1935, to Catherine (Vollmar) and Edward N. Johns II in Toledo, Ohio. After graduation he joined the US Army and was proud to have served during the Korean war. He married Patricia H. Sobczak. Edward was a commercial painter working for Myers and Watters for 41 years, until his retirement in 1997. For many years he volunteered at WW Knight. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and just being at one with nature.

Edward is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patricia; brother-in-law, Eugene (Betty) Sobczak; nephews, nieces and grand nephews, nieces and good neighbors, Vicky and Ray Azzi. He was preceded in death by brother, Sylvester Johns.

Visitation will be held at Reeb Funeral Home, Sylvania, Wednesday, September 25, 2024, from 10:00-12:00 p.m. where the funeral will be held at 12:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Toledo Memorial Park, Sylvania.

Contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Hospice of Northwest Ohio, or Toledo Humane Society.
