Elizabeth Cabanski Obituary
Elizabeth Helen Cabanski, age 90, of Oakleaf Village and formerly of Mayfair Blvd., passed away peacefully on Monday, June 5, 2017 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio's Toledo Care Center. She was born on December 14, 1926 in Toledo, Ohio to Frank and Mary (Bali) Yarcso. Elizabeth was employed as a cashier for Foodtown for 27 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and enjoyed golfing and gardening. She was a lifelong parishioner of Regina Coeli Catholic Church.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Kathy Garcia; sons, Robert (Patricia) Cabanski and Thomas (Cindy) Cabanski; sisters, Irene (William) Chapman and Peggy Bittner; grandchildren, Sally Sporleder, Katie (Alfredo) Mena, Holly (Karlin) Gibson, Chris Cabanski, Allison (Jacob) Peters, Stephen (Gillian) Cabanski, and Alejandro Garcia; and great-grandchildren, Holden, Griffin, Austin, and Maria Elena. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Cabanski; son, John Cabanski; brother, Frank; and sister, Mary.
Family and friends may visit on Thursday from 3-8 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. Funeral Services will begin Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home and continue with the Funeral Mass in Regina Coeli Church at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
The family wishes to express its gratitude for the special care Elizabeth received at Oakleaf Village and Hospice of Northwest Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Regina Coeli Catholic Church, St. Francis de Sales High School, St. Ursula Academy, or Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Please share condolences at
