Elizabeth Ann Lesko

LESKO Elizabeth Ann Elizabeth Ann Lesko, age 92, of Whitehouse, Ohio, passed away peacefully Monday, February 12, 2007, in her home. Elizabeth was born on April 14, 1914, to the late Stephen and Elizabeth Horvath in Hungary. She came to the United States from Hungary when she was 14 years old. She married Joseph Lesko, and he preceded her in death on February 5, 1974. Also preceding her in death was her son, Joseph Lesko. Elizabeth was a member of St. Stephen's Church and its Rosary and Altar Society for 60 years. She was also a member of St. Richard Church for the past 5 years. Elizabeth worked for the Commodore Perry Hotel as a banquet waitress for 20 years. She loved to spend many hours of the day in her rose garden; it was her pride and joy. She is survived by her loving daughter, Elizabeth (Luther) Bonnough of Whitehouse, OH; brother, Steve (Mary) Horvath of Toledo, OH; sister, Theresa Shockey of Toledo, OH; 9 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren. Family and friends may visit Thursday, February 15th from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton, where a Scripture service will be held at 7 p.m. Prayers will begin in the funeral home on Friday, February 16th at 9:30 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Richard Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m., with Fr. Joseph Jaros officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Richard's Church.
